The first of eight protocols is CR8 MUSIC. Communities work together to discover and layer different audio traits across various NFT collections, then merge and mint their collaborative sounds into a one-of-a-kind multi-edition 1155C token.
Each unique combination of all music NFTs minted contain the audio files + the corresponding master and publishing rights. Tokens are split between participating contributors and auto-airdropped to corresponding wallets.
Each time a CR8 Protocol transaction is signed the user pays a small transaction fee, which we distribute a portion of revenue back to the creator or community that provided initial traits.

Say your'e watching a movie on Netflix. With Synch Stream, your phone will automatically recognize the content your'e watching and deliver a secondary experience, synchronized perfectly with whatever is happening on the television, to your mobile device. We got 25,000 downloads as a result when we used the technology to synchronize an augmented reality mobile game to a music video on youtube. When the music video played your laptop, the game would start on your phone. Shoot bad guys as they fly out of the music video and right into your living room. After that, we introduced a shop and micro transactions to the game. Overall, layering the Sync Stream experience over a traditional music video increased Youtube views 3x and revenue 10x. Traditional media just got a lot more interesting.
Defient started in 2018 as a "traditional" web 2 creative studio. Our specialty is making music and media in-house then licensing the original IP to major labels, entertainment studios, and big brands.
By 2019 we started building software to enhance our own media. Slowly but surely, creators asked us if we could build digital experiences for them too. Then managers started asking, then labels, and before we knew it we were working on technology more than we were working on music or media. We knew we had something special, and we knew that we had to keep ownership over everything we built. Call it our ah-ha moment.
In 2020 we fully pivoted, rebranded, and went all in on web3 technology. We created games, mo-cap studios, avatars, and metaverses before they were cool. Fast forward to today, and our ability to leverage the best of both worlds, tech and media, is our edge.
